About Paula Klein

Paula Klein

Paula Klein, M.S.W., R.S.W.

With a genuine ability to connect with others, I bring compassion, honesty, intuition and humour to my work. I fundamentally believe in everyone’s ability to change, grow, overcome obstacles, and reach their goals. I work collaboratively and respectfully with my clients, utilizing dialogue, designing exercises and assignments, and providing ongoing support and encouragement.

With a background in education, social work, and psychology, I understand the various ways that people are motivated to change. I bring a wealth of knowledge, experience, and skills to assist my clients in reaching their fullest potential. Throughout my career, I have promoted growth and development, healing, and change.

I received a Bachelor of Science in Social Studies Education in 1982 at the University of Wisconsin, a Masters Degree in Social Work (M.S.W.) from Yeshiva University in New York City, and I completed coursework in counselling psychology at the doctoral level at the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education (O.I.S.E.) in the early 1990s. I am a registered social worker (R.S.W.) with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers, and a member of the International Coach Federation. For more than 20 years I have worked as a psychotherapist with individuals, couples, and groups, and have provided training, workshops, and professional development programs to social service agencies, professionals, health professions regulatory colleges in Ontario, and the Ontario government.

I grew up in Minneapolis, Minnesota, and have lived in Madison, New York City, and Jerusalem. I am a breast cancer survivor and know how much every day matters.

I live in Toronto with my wonderful partner and our two incredible and talented teenage children.
