1. Who hires a coach?

Coaching is one of the newest and fastest growing fields in this century. More and more people are realizing the tremendous benefits of coaching. CEOs, executives, professionals, business people, individuals making career or life changes, and others looking to improve various aspects of their lives are hiring coaches to assist them in taking effective and focused action toward their goals. Many people are realizing that coaching can help them create more momentum, focus their energies, and accomplish more than they would on their own. Sometimes people are in need of inspiration, growth, and development, all of which can be facilitated with a coach.

2. What actually happens in coaching sessions?

During the coaching sessions we will discuss your goals and break them down into realistic and manageable actions. We will discuss your progress, accomplishments, as well as any obstacles you are facing. We will strategize together to help you reach your goals and more. Coaching is about where you are now, where you want to be, and how you will get there. Coaching focuses on your strengths, and honours who you are as a person. Much of the success of coaching is a result of what happens in between sessions, as you implement the actions, change habits, and accomplish your goals.

3. How often would our sessions take place?

Most people connect on a weekly or biweekly basis. Sessions usually last between 30-60 minutes, depending on what we think is the right amount of time. The first session usually lasts about an hour and a half to two hours. We will spend the session exploring your history and present day circumstances, identifying and prioritizing your goals, and answering any questions you may have about the coaching process. It is usually advised to make an initial commitment of three months, to allow the changes to begin to take place and become more engrained.

4. Where do the sessions take place?

Some clients prefer to connect face to face if possible, either at my office in downtown Toronto, their office, or a neutral and appropriate meeting place. Many sessions occur on the phone, as people find that most convenient and comfortable. Skype, Facetime, etc. are also viable options. A combination of in-person and phone sessions is most typical.

5. How much does coaching cost?

The cost of the coaching will vary depending on the particular package you choose. Most coaches charge by the month and include a set number of hours/sessions per month. Additionally, there may be email or brief phone contact between sessions. Please contact me for more information.
