What actually happens in coaching sessions?

During the coaching sessions we will discuss your goals and break them down into realistic and manageable actions. We will discuss your progress, accomplishments, as well as any obstacles you are facing. Coaching starts where you are now, explores where and how you want to be, and strategizes on how you will get there. Coaching focuses on your strengths and honours who you are as a person. Much of the success of coaching is a result of what happens in between sessions, as you implement the actions, change habits, and accomplish your goals.

How often would our coaching sessions take place?

Most people connect on a weekly or biweekly basis. Sessions last between 30-60 minutes, depending on what we think is the right amount of time. The first session usually lasts about an hour and a half where we explore your history and present-day circumstances, identify and prioritize your goals, and answer any questions you may have about the coaching process. It is usually advised to make an initial commitment of three months, to allow the changes to begin to take place and become more engrained.

Where do the sessions take place?

Most clients prefer to connect face to face if possible, at my office in downtown Toronto. Sessions may occur on the phone , as well, and a combination of in-person and phone sessions is most typical. Additionally, there may be email or brief phone contact between sessions.
